Bouquet Ideas

I’ve been thinking about what kind of bouquet I’d like for my wedding, and I’m at a bit of a loss. I’m really not a flower person. They’re beautiful, but expensive, and something I didn’t necessarily need to have for the big day. I even toyed with the idea of having a flower-less wedding, but my Mother (who, God bless her heart) is paying, wanted at least some foliage. My color scheme is very neutral… champagne, ivory, gold, beige & bits of sage green, and I found myself drawn towards a more minimalist approach to flowers and decorĀ  We settled on simple, single Calla Lilies for the centerpieces (think these), and I like the idea of very small but elegant Calla Lily bouquets with one to three stems for the bridesmaids.

However, I wanted something a bit more unique for my bouquet. I don’t want to use too much color (I think it would really offset the neutrality of everything else), but I like the look of earthy greens and ivory. On the other hand, my dress has a distinct elegant, old-hollywood look to it, and I’m not sure what would look best with it. I suppose I have a long time to decide, I just like thinking of new ideas as I go.

I love the gorgeous earthiness that succulents bring to bouquets, and I am drawn to their simple elegance. Here are some of my favorites (images courtesy of Elizabeth Anne Designs):

Adorable Place Card Settings

If I had an unlimited wedding budget, I’d buy these adorable paper place-card settings for every guest. You can order one of the pre-designed shapes, or have one custom-designed for a small fee. I’m in love with how delicate and simple they are.
